Savannah 26 Catamaran Standard Specification

Construction of Hulls and Decks
Hand laid up in grp to Woods Designs specified layup with white gelcoat finish. Hull topsides and decks are of sandwich construction using pvc contour foam. Hulls are built using isophthalic resin and a layer of powder bound mat next to gelcoat to minimize risk of osmosis. A combination roving/mat glass material is used on hulls and decks. Ply pads are fitted in way of all deck fittings. The hulls have three buoyancy compartments throughout the hull including a collision bulkhead forward.

Main Crossbeams
Composite box beams, stainless steel beambolts, aluminum pivot bolts  Anchor and sail lockers incorporated into forward end of central cuddy

Steering
Rudders are semi balanced constructed of laminated ply encased in a GRP moulding with stainless steel stocks through acetyl rudder bearings. 
Aluminum tiller bar, two tiller extensions 
Daggerboards are laminated ply, epoxy sheathed below the WL

Deck Equipment
Forward safety nets 
Coloured hull stripes and 3 stripes on cuddy 
4 - 6" mooring cleats

Mast and Rigging
Forespar "Aerorig©" Mast and boom in carbon fiber. 
Mast base and boom are left stepped at all times, with top section of mast removed during transport.
