LAYOUT & ACCOMMODATIONS:
This multihull is built to be used in the tropics. Unique window design allows air to flow through even in rainy weather. A combination of screen panels with privacy/sun block or Plexiglas panels can be slid into place depending on the weather. Or the panels may be removed completely to allow for tropical breezes flowing through entire cabin at bunk level. No windows forward mean no leaks ever in heavy seas and protection from the tropic sun.
Slide open main hatch and step down onto extra-wide teak steps into expansive main cabin. Main hatch is built off-center to tallow more galley room. Galley on port side has brand new Force 10 Marine S.S. 3-burner propane stove and 2 extra-deep S.S. sinks with large cabinets above and below the sink area.
One main cabin with 2 double berths, and two single extra-wide, extra long settee berths, 6'4" headroom.
Cabin top is a foam-sandwich construction with 1/4" mahogany plywood on both sides. This gives incredible insulation against the summer heat in the main cabin.
Forward of the main cross arm is a berth area which has two 3'wide hanging lockers and a roomy single berth or double for 2 children.
Outriggers are accessed through extra-large hatch covers (large enough for bicycle storage) mounted with large solar panels. Each outrigger has spacious storage.
Aft cabin behind cockpit seat with lots of storage area incl. water storage under cockpit area.
Boarding ladder custom built to raise and lower from cockpit area.

DECK & HULLS:
Huge main deck. Hulls are vectra (polypropylene) over marine plywood using epoxy, not a spot of rot anywhere. Decks are huge. Can easily walk forward on outrigger decks to large foredeck area with large netting area. Netting is one of the unique features of this multihull. It is 3/8" nylon strung tight like a tennis racket. It's fun to walk on and sleep on besides the safety of such a strong, secure net when dropping sails. New nylon strung in 2003. Last netting lasted 20 years. Keel is another unique feature. Keel is an airfoil 12' x 18' at the widest point which makes it possible for the boat's draft to be kept at 2'9" max. (The airfoil is truncated at the bottom so if the boat runs aground, it can easily be sailed off--the airfoil acting as a sled.)
Cockpit awning is 7'x5' mounted on S.S. supports for downwind sailing and in port. No awning is needed above the cabin top in port since cabin top is so well insulated by the foam sandwich construction.

Sloop-rigged with all sheets leading to the cockpit

Owner/builder has built 4 multihulls and worked for Hunter Marine and other smaller boat manufacturers. Built a 30' Piver Nimble in the 1960's for his family and sailed to the South Pacific with family in the 1970's. Returned to U.S. to build this multihull incorporating all the ideas from his years of sailing in the South Pacific. TIARE has been to the Bahama out-islands, Cuba, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala in the 1980's. In the Florida Keys in the 1990s and presently.
This is a cruising sailboat. The owner & wife are not able to sail it any longer and they want TIARE to have younger owners that enjoy sailing and cruising. This is a must sell, must move quickly, willing to deal situation.
