LAYOUT & ACCOMMODATIONS:
Malaika has the family layout with a queen-size berth forward.  The interior is cherry with a rich looking patterned fabric in tans, rusts and blue/greens.  It is carpeted throughout (except for galley and head in a durable blue/green carpet. Additional hatches throughout provide excellent light and ventilation. (All hatches have screens) 

Head
The head features three bathroom cabinets  6” deep with mirrored fronts. The head also features a stainless steel holding tank with a Y valve diverting waste to either holding tank or to overboard discharge.  There is a foot operated fresh water pump in addition to pressurized hot and cold water.  The head is also equipped with an electric shower sump pump. 

Port Aft Cabin
The port aft cabin doubles as an office.  Kneehole cut away in the forward part of the bunk may be used as a desk at level with the vanity.  A stool stores in the cutaway are to be used as a seat for the desk.  A  6” deep shelf runs the full length of the cabin. (Great for books, clothing or just extra storage)  The hanging locker has been fitted with removable shelves. 

Starboard Aft Cabin
The starboard aft cabin doubles as a pantry with a 6” deep shelf running the full length of the cabin.  The hanging locker has been fitted with removable shelves for food storage. 

Forward Starboard Area
On the outboard side there are three shelves from hanging locker bact to storage unit (presently used for stereo, CD and cassette storage and book storage.  There is generous shelf, locker and storage space on both outboard and inboard sides of the forward starboard area. 

Master Berth Forward
2 Corner shelves in forward most corners of bed both head and foot and 2 additional shelved cubbies provide storage for books and miscellaneous items. 

Galley
The galley has a three basin sink layout.  There is a manual salt water foot pump in addition to pressurized hot and cold water. A three burner stove and oven, day fridge in galley (SS1 12V compressor fridge 12v/110v) and a large freezer/fridge unit in starboard aft cabin under bunk.

The Prout 37 combines ocean sailing capabilities and a legendary safety record with comfort.  She boasts a proven design employing traditional Prout innovations and modern construction techniques.  The result is a responsive craft with spacious accommodations, excellent load carrying capacity for her size and ease of handling.  As with other Prout cats, sail handling can be done exclusively from the cockpit. MALAIKA is very well equipped and in excellent condition. 

In addition to being in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically,Malaika is a truly seaworthy catamaran. She provided a wonderful cruising home for her one and only set of owners. Her journeys included a transatlantic crossing from the UK to the US, several trips to Maine and a magnificent adventure down the Yucatan Coast to Guatemala. Owners are moving on to their next adventure of teaching overseas and are eager to find new owners prior to their departure. Offers encouraged. See her at our Fort Lauderdale dock!
