Tropic Daze was built by Tillotson-Pearson Inc (TPI) of Warren, Rhode Island and has 2 newly rebuilt Perkins M30 engines with conventional shaft drives, not sail drives. This boat has exceptional stability, room and storage; and can be easily sailed by two people. |

Accommodations include three staterooms with queen-size beds and storage lockers, two heads with shower, and a large central saloon with a Corian table and nav station. The galley is in the port hull, with Corian counters Refrigerator/Freezer, Force 10 three burner stove with oven, and a huge pantry/storage area adjacent to the galley (this pantry was a converted 4th stateroom). The starboard hull has a hanging closet and four storage lockers. The cockpit has easily accommodated 16 people. Bows and sterns are huge storage areas. |
Electronics & Navigation
Integrated Garmin and Raymarine electronics include a Garmin 3006 GPS/Chartplotter, GMR18 radar, GDL30 satellite weather, and GSD20 sonar at the helm. Insturmation includes a Raymarine ST60 Wind Instrument and Tri-Data. The autopilot includes a Raymarine ST7001+ Autopilot Control with S1 Core Pack (computer) and ST600R Remote Control. The boat has a Wessex Precision 406 GPS EPIRB, a Horizon Intrepid GX1260S VHF radio with helm remote, and a new 19" flat screen HDTV. All of the electronics were newly installed within the last few years.

Mechanical & Electrical
Two newly rebuilt Perkins M30 engines have approximately 100 and 200 hours and burn a total of 1 gal/hour when motoring. Battery banks contain (4) 6v Deep Cycle & (2) 12v marine batteries. The system includes two Balmar ARS-4 Smart Charge regulators, a Statpower (Xantrex) TrueCharge 20+ with remote monitor, and a Xantrex Link 20 battery monitor. The boat has dual 30 Amp service with a galvanic isolator and a Xantrex PROwatt 1000W inverter.

The stern has an excellent aluminum arch to lift and store the 11' dingy. The primary ground tackle is all new and includes a new LoFrans Tigres LW400 Windlass with 150' 3/8"G4 chain and 50' of 3/4" nylon, 55lb Delta anchor and anchor bridle system. The secondary anchor is a 44 lb Bruce with 225' of rode. The trampolines have been replaced and a new helm seat, pedestal and footrest were installed. |
Sails and Rigging
Starcruiser 2000 asymmetrical spinnaker (1200 sq ft) with ATN sock, and Strong Track sailtrack system. Sails include a 694sq. ft. Mainsail with full battens, double reef, and a Stackpack type sail cover system. The jib is 264sq. ft. and self tacking.
