Vessel History
Designed by Naval Architect, Alexis Simonis, and built by Caribe in St. Kitts, she was launched in 1999 and debuted in the Annapolis Boat Show. No expense was spared in the creation of this fast cruising catamaran. Sp systems of London designed the composite construction, determining exactly where Kevlar should be placed (on the keel for maximum strength) where carbon should be laid and where fiberglass should be used so as to make the vessel as strong and light as possible.
Her owner envisioned the comfort and luxury of a five-star hotel while quickly and comfortably cruising to paradise destinations. This concept was proven successful by the 10 guests a year who chartered aboard her from 1999 to 2000. Since 2000 she has been used privately by the owner and professionally maintained.
Shangri La has had a professional captain since she was new. The owner currently has this yacht docked at his home in St. Croix and is used on weekends and holidays only. This yacht may come to Ft. Lauderdale soon . Inquire now to confirm curent schedule.

Accommodations
The salon is of regal size with a large seating arrangement to port which also doubles as a formal dining area. To starboard, there is a lovely bar with two icemakers. Aft facing is the navigation station/office with communications and naviontics.
The five (5) guest cabins lead off the main salon each with queen-sized berths, A/C, and private bathrooms and showers. All heads are freshwater flushed. Each cabins has a CD player, stereo, full-length mirrors, hanging lockers and plenty of storage space.
The crew quarters are to port in the midship cabin. (With larger parties, teenagers can use the extreme forward cabins.) All work areas are separate from guest areas.
Cordon Bleu galley with all the modern conveniences for preparing gourmet meals and catering. Ample refrigerator and freezer space, a propane stove and oven, microwave oven, vent fan and dishwasher are all fitted. Large storage space.

Deck Equipment
She has wonderful spaces on deck for lounging, entertaining and cruising. Guests can gather in the cockpit or on the forward trampoline. The cockpit has lounges for relaxing, reading or sunbathing. And owners and guests can dine under the large cockpit bimini for meals up to 10. Loose deck chairs and casual tables allow for flexible entertaining and functions. Two outside steering stations are out of the traffic flow, yet offer 360 degree visibility. Sail handling is made easy with electric genoa and halyard winches. Molded-in steps lead to the water for snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing and swimming. Wide side decks make going forward safe and easy.
