Vessel Highlights

Tropical Attitudes is a Privilege 39 catamaran that was designed and built in France. The catamaran was well suited for the booming charter industry in the Caribbean and Mediteranian Seas.

The vessels's construction is much stronger than that of other catamarans of the same year. One of the many construction factors is that the Privilege was built using the more expensive closed cell PVC foam which was vacuum bagged. This, versus balsa core on most boats would not absorb moisture, would stand up to shock better and was easier to repair. The low aspect ratio keels provide both seaworthiness and beachability- a must for the shallow waters of the Keys and the Bahamas. Everything has been designed with space and comfort in mind, from a huge cockpit  to an elegant salon, four private staterooms and practical storage space.

Tropical Attitudes has had three owners, and while chartered very successfully for the last six years, she has always been owner-maintained very meticulously! She has never been bareboat chartered. She had an extensive refit ($100,000) in 1996 and has undergone many upgrades and improvements in 2001/02. She is US flagged, and although foreign-built, she has a special waiver from the Maritime Administration which allows her to carry passengers in the Florida Keys waters. This waiver stays with the vessel and is passed down to her new owners. She has also passed inspection for the past two years for a Foreign Charter Liscence in the Bahamas, which makes her legal to charter to and within the Bahamas.

The charter business also is being sold with a very active web site, and an
extensive clientlcontact list of over 1,000 individuals, as well as contact
information for charter brokers.

Layout & Accommodations

Tropical Attitudes has four large double staterooms, each with its own
ensuite vanity and sink. There are two separate head/shower compartments. The
