Selecting the larger engine did require some structural enhancements. The sail drive bed that Tony Smith had manufactured into the hull needed to be extended to accept a set of forward engine mounts. In this process it was discovered that the hull thinned to about 1/4 inch in this area. To prevent flexing of the hull due to the additional torque provided by these engines the hull forward to the bulkhead at the front of the aft berths was reinforced. Other changes in the berth areas were the extension of the berth and raising of the bunk 3 inches to make room for the additional sound insulation.

The Gemini 3400 hulls differ slightly from the 3200 by incorporating low aspect ratio keels, molded steps in the reverse style transoms and the use of inboard rudders.

COMMENTS:
FOUR SEASONS is a well maintained and greatly improved boat. It is one of two which were manufactured with twin diesels and is the only one which now supports 27hp Yanmars.

The addition of larger self-tailing Lewmar winches and autopilot make this an easy single handing boat underway. The twin diesels allow you to look like a seasoned captain even under the most adverse docking conditions.

The full aluminum arch serves 101 purposes in convenience, safety and necessity. The teak  has been maintained with oil (never varnished) so as to maintain the natural woods beauty.

The entire cockpit can be fully enclosed with the Camper Canvas for all-season cruising. Extended cruising with room for several people is the plan for this boat. Three cabins plus the drop down table area provide for plenty of sleeping space.

FOUR SEASONS is a good choice for comfortable cruising and an easy boat to live aboard.
