& Accomodations:
LA MARIE JOSE is a typical four
cabin two head layout with one of the most functional and comfortable saloons
and cockpits in the catamaran world.
The current owners very tastefully, with many
custom features, have redecorated the saloon. On starboard is the open galley,
with the navigation/communication station and entertainment center to port.
The television, DVD and stereo have been cleverly built into the after
bulkhead.
The hulls can accommodate 8 guests in four
private cabins. There is even space forward to sleep two crew members. The aft
cabins are large with double berths and loads of storage. Moving forward,
there is a large head, sink and shower located amidships on the inboard side
in each hull. The forward double cabins offer full-length beds with more
storage both hanging and in drawers. Additionally there is one single berth
far forward in each hull if needed for crew.

Hull--integral low aspect ratio
keels, plumb bow, reverse transoms; Large trampoline area forward, wide rigid
deck just aft with self-draining lockers, wrap-around seating & table in
cockpit, good foot rests and hand holds. The cockpit is one of the most
pleasing, ergonomic arrangements available in a catamaran of this size. The
comfort and practicality of being able to lounge, dine and operate this vessel
within the cockpit is outstanding. The helm offers a clear and unobstructed
view.
The NEW full Bimini enclosure with
“spotlighters” provides both shade and shelter at the same time.

Comments:
Almost futuristic in design as
are all modern Fountaine-Pajot catamarans, the Venezia 42 brings a new
sleekness to the look of cruising catamarans. Pronounced features include
narrow, fine-entry bows, a streamlined profile, modern fractional rig, and an
innovative roof "cap", with lets light and air into the saloon
cabin. The boat has been set up for short-handed sailing, with all controls
leading to the cockpit. Performance is high on all points of sail due to an
efficient underbody and sail plan. Accommodations are comfortable and
practical. Single berths have been added to the two forward staterooms, making
them idea for crew members or families with children. With the Venezia 42,
every effort has been made to produce a craft that combines cruising comfort
and stability with good performance and ease of handling.
Although LA MARIE JOSE began her life as a
charter yacht, her present owners refitted her to suit their personal needs.
They were very successful in creating and extremely “personal yacht”. The
design, fabric, installation and equipment chosen are all of the finest in
quality and taste.
