2 berths in the 2 aft hulls, and 2 in the 2 forward hulls, with an additional V berth in the port hull. The forward berth on the port side is a large double measuring 61/2 feet by 61/2 feet, with a built-in TV. The 2 berths in the aft hulls are very large singles (or small doubles) each measuring 61/2 feet by 4 feet. the forward berth in the starboard hull can optionally be used as a stowage area. The head is located forward in the starboard hull. The head is a Raritan PH II with a holding tank, the holding tank has never been used. Forward of the head is a spacious shower. The bridge-deck saloon has a table with folding leaves. The bridge-deck has 5'10" headroom, the hulls have 7'. Toucan has 8 opening Bomar hatches with removable screens, and 3 opening Bomar port-lights. The galley has a Dometic fridge which runs off propane, 110volt, or 12volt. It's equipped with a dedicated 40lb. aluminum propane tank. Double stainless steel sinks are supplied with hot and cold pressure water, hand pump freshwater, and foot pump saltwater.

Electronics and navigation are on the simple side, although ample room has been left in the electronics panel for future installations. The features include a Garmin GPS 50, an Ample Power Company energy monitor, a West Marine all channel VHF, and an AM/FM radio. Also Signet knot meter, depth sounder, temperature indicator, and log. 

The vessel is intelligently fitted with a single Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel and saildrive, found under the port aft berth. This leaves huge storage space in the same area found in the starboard hull. The engine room has a large hatch, and there is more room than usually found on any sailboat to perform maintenance. The engine has approximately 1,000 hours on it, and is fitted with a Balmar 100amp alternator and an Ample Power Company smart regulator. Together they charge 4 Trojan T-105 batteries giving a 440amp  house bank. There is an additional 100amp starting battery and Perko battery switch. 44 gallons of diesel are stored in Tempo permanent plastic fuel tanks, which can be easily removed for cleaning. Because the tanks are mounted under the cockpit seats the system is gravity fed, therefore no electric fuel pump is needed. The fuel passes through a Racor fuel/water separator before arriving at the Yanmar fuel filter. Cooling water passes through a Groco raw water strainer before reaching the heat exchanger. the area under the soles amidships down into the keel serve as the water storage tanks. The tanks are heavily coated with WEST epoxy, and 100 gallons of water can be held in each tank. There is both an electric pressure and manual system for delivering water from the tanks. Hot water is provided by a Wolter water heater, which has it's own 20lb. aluminum propane tank with solenoid. The boat has a dockside water connection. A Powersurvivor 35 water maker is installed. The 110 volt AC electric system is fed by a 30 amp power cord. The boat has reverse polarity and GFI protection. A Heart Freedom 10 inverter is installed. A through the hatch 5,000 BTU air conditioner is included.

The hulls are solid fiberglass laminate. the decks are vinyl foam cored (not balsa wood!). Toucan has a recent Imron paint job. All deck fittings are bolted through solid fiberglass laminate. The bottom has an Interlux epoxy barrier coat. Steering has an easily serviceable cable and quadrant, all parts by Edson, and includes a quickly deployable emergency steering system. A Sunrise brand trampoline is found forward. A teak swim deck is fount aft, along with a transom mounted stainless swim ladder. On deck are stanchions with lifelines attached to pulpits and pushpits. A crane with a detachable arm is mounted for lifting the dinghy outboard engine. There is a storage bracket for the dinghy outboard inside the port lazarette. The deck stepped aluminum mast has an Imron paint finish. The spreader and navigation lights are mounted on the mast. There are 2 speed winches. Sails are by North. Ground tackle includes a 45lb.CQR anchor with 50ft. of 3/8" chain and 300ft. of 5/8" line. The anchor is raised by a Simpson manual windlass. Fenders, fender boards, and ample dock line are included. The cockpit features a full width bimini. Mounted under the steering station is a 4 person canister life raft.

Although built for long term cruising, this cat has only 2 years of in-the-water se. New in 1993, she was sailed down from California to Panama where she was stored on land for 5 years. Re-launched in 1999 she was sailed to Texas. She was delivered to Fort Lauderdale and is now awaiting her new owners.
