LAYOUT
AND ACCOMMODATION:
This owner’s version of the renowned Prout 45 has designated the whole of
the port hull to the owners with master cabin, and head with separate shower
stall and numerous hanging lockers.
The guest suite has its own en-suite head/shower and Port forward there is a
further small double berth.
The enormous saloon features a forward facing navigation station with
300-degree visibility and full instrumentation.
In the Starboard hull is the well-equipped galley is along side the saloon
so you are not ‘cut off’ and features, 4 burner stove, propane oven 2
refrigerators and a freezer. Forward of the galley is a washer dryer with
further guest sleeping in a double cabin forward.
Cockpit with seating at the table for 6 with the cockpit as a whole seating
12, this is one of 3 Prout 45’s with the factory fitted cockpit
.
‘Hard top’ which is further extended with a bimini attached, the whole
cockpit can be also enclosed with screens and curtains making it an all
weather area and helm station.

SYSTEMS/EQUIPMENT:
The whole boat is air conditioned with a most efficient chilled water
system,
2 reverse osmosis water makers – 1 producing 25 GPH off the main engine
and a second 12 volt system producing 5 GPH, both are installed for
simplicity of operation and maintenance.
Back-up Autopilot.
A Seapower A/C generator provides all the a/c power needed whilst
saving weight, this is supplemented by a large 160amp/hr alternator.
Large battery bank of 950 amp hrs with separate engine start, Freedom 2500
inverter / charger, charging and monitoring by Link2000.
4 large solar panels and 4 winds generator.
DECK GEAR:
Fresh and salt water wash down,

CHARIOT was commissioned and sea trialed in Fort Lauderdale in January and
February 1997. The Prout 45 is renown for its sea worthiness and kindly
manor, this yacht has been further enhanced to make short handed sailing
more of a pleasure than it normally is, all major systems have back ups, the
oversized winches make sail handling a dream and with her wind generator and
solar panels she can be self-sufficient in power production whilst at anchor
without running motors. She has been maintained to the highest of standards
and this Prout 45 is so attractive she will not be on the market for long.
