Shalimar has never been chartered. Her present owners have been sailing and living aboard her for the last 7 years. She is bright and airy indoors with a nice kauri timber lounge. She points better than some monohulls and won the 1997 Darwin to Ambon Handicap section. She had a total Awlgrip repaint in June 2000. She has an unbelievable inventory with a place for everything. It is a pleasure to own a proper ocean going live-aboard vessel that performs well on all points of sail.
