Comments:
Design:
The Wildcat 350 is a Jeff Schoening design at somewhere around 30 of these
boats have been built by Charter Cats S.A. They are currently being produced at the rate of
approximately fifteen per year and are in demand.
The hull and rig are extremely strong and the
boats sail across the South and North Atlantic oceans on their own bottoms to
market in the U.S. from Durban, S.A. They
are very good sailing vessels and have achieved over 20 knots while they will
regularly cruise at 8 – 10 knots in 20 knots of wind.
The hull design uses curves to build
exceptional strength as compared to flat panels.
The boats have well over 6 feet of headroom and have been produced in a
galley up and down version. They
have also been produced with several engine configurations.
The general appearance of the vessel is very appealing.
