| TomCat Boats is
pleased to announce the introduction of the all-new TomCat 9.7 - a 32
ft. LOA performance cruising catamaran. The design emphasizes all of the
multihull advantages -performance, stability, comfort, visibility,
accommodation, and go-anywhere shallow draft. PERFORMANCE Light weight foam core construction, vacuum bagged with ISO resins; low drag underwater shape with minimum wetted surface area and optimal prismatic coefficient. Aerodynamic hull and cabin profiles and efficient rig aloft to reduce windage. Centerboard designed for easy tacking and helm balance on all points of sail. STABILITY: The wide beam and high bridgedeck clearance provide a stable sailing platform. The sail area is kept low to minimize heeling forces. COMFORT: Large cockpit with center helm console, perimeter seating; SS arch (option) with elevated seating and mainsheet traveller track. Salon with large table and seating for 6 - 8. Ample 6 ft. 6 in. headroom throughout. VISIBILITY: Open concept interior with full 360° views while seated at the salon table or standing in the hulls. Hardtop with windows and opening hatch encloses aft portion of salon and provides helm overhead coverage. ACCOMMODATION: Double berths aft in each hull and owner's stateroom with vanity and large double berth forward. Salon converts into an extra double berth. Head with shower. Large galley with stove, fridge and lots of countertop and storage spaces. SHALLOW DRAFT: Spade rudders in cassettes continue to steer while rotated up above the level of the hull bottoms. Single centerboard rotates up to function as a shallow keel also above the hull depth of 18 in. AVAILABILITY: We are currently building several 9.7's and have capacity for 2004 deliveries.
