The Seawind 24 is a proven, high performance, trailerable multihull, with the accommodation and stability required for safe family cruising. It is one of the most popular catamarans in Australia having introduced hundreds of people into the world of catamarans. Seawind 24's have crossed oceans, cruised to the Barrier Reef and back and provided much close racing for many sailors.

The following items are included with the boat that has been under going refitting over the past three years. All of the items are new as the boat was used very little over the last two summers.

  1. Insulated Interior
  2. Cushions
  3. Portable Head
  4. Lighting
  5. GPS
  6. Depth Sounder
  7. VHF Radio
  8. Storm Jib
  9. New Wiring
  10. A 9.9 Four Stroke High Thrust Yamaha Outboard
  11. Stove
  12. Custom Boom Tent
  13. Marine BBQ
  14. Jib & Mainsail also a 400 sq. ft. spinnaker
  15. 120 sq. ft. forward trampoline

The Seawind 24 has a number of unique features:

  1. The main jib has self-furling system
  2. The two main trampolines have been replaced with removable aluminum inserts that give the deck of the boat more stability and usability.
  3. The Custom Boom Tent transforms the main trampoline area into incredible user space. The tent covers both hulls and is made of lightweight weatherproof material that is easy to erect.
  4. Low draft and floating rudder capability allow for easy land and beach access for safety.
  5. The Seawind’s weight is approximately 1500 lbs. It can be easily collapsed and placed on a trailer for transport. This operation only takes a few hours. In summer of 2001 it was transported as is on a trailer from Selkirk Manitoba 240 Km to Northern Harbour, Lake of the Wood’s, Ontario.

The modifications allow 4 people to sleep on deck with three berths and a storage area below.  The boat has exceptional speed having attained 22-23 miles an hour on lake Winnipeg in robust winds and 4 ˝ foot waves. Two main Dagger boards and rudders provide for excellent handling and stability. The Seawind has superior user capacity having easily transported up to 17 adults and children on a reasonably calm day. It is an ocean going model built in Australia and has sailed to and from Fiji.

800 boats of this model were manufactured and the replacement value is approximately $ 40,000 Canadian.
