Layout & Accommodations Medusa can sleep a crew of 8, two persons in each comfortable double beds plus two single bunks. In the centre back is the bridge (closed cockpit), containing the helmet and electronics. With a table and two benches, room for two extra persons to sleep. The cabin in each hull provides complete privacy from the occupants of the other hull. The port hull provides galley, galley counter of marble, with double sink. One with salt water pump, the other with pressure water. Gas cooker with an oven and three jets, and diesel heater. table and seats for 8 persons. double bunk located fwd and aft The starboard hull provides masters cabin, saloon with seats for 4 persons, very large chart table and a very comfortable toilet with shower, hot water from engine, in harbour 220 v. double bunk aft. Each hull is very well ventilated |
Electronics & Navigational Equipment The wheel house is fit with a VHF radio, cd-player with loudspeakers in all hulls. GPS, chart plotter with charts of all Mediterranean and Scandinavia. autopilot, eccosounder, log, joystick for steering. Plus lots of normal charts covering all Europe and Russia, water pilots and navigation books in English. |
Mechanical & Electrical Main engine Perkins 60hp, fit with double hydraulic pumps and double propellar driven by two hydraulic engines, which is controlled from the wheel house. two 35 Watt solar panels that reliably keeps the three batteries fully charged, 12 volt power in both cabins and wheel house. |
Deck Equipment Medusa was constructed from plywood covered by epoxi with a wooden deck. The spacious deck includes trampolines fwd and aft, 8 comfortable chairs, and a large center table of marble covering the engine room. |
Sails and Rigging Medusa is a kets-rig, with a genoa, jib, storm jib, mizzen, mizzen staysail, a large drifter. Medusa has a 1000 W anchor winch, main anchor, 60 m of 12 mm chain, extra anchor plus 20 m of chain. Equipped with lots of rope and new ropes for all the sails. |
Additional Medusa is equipped with davits, a very nice rubber dinghy with glass fibre bottom, and a Suzuki outboard 15hp. New (2005), takes 6 persons. |
Owner Comments I have been the happy owner of Medusa for 18 years, sailed all over the North Sea, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea. I have done all Donau from the North Sea to the Black Sea twice. I was the first to sail through Russia (Don-Volga) from the Black Sea to Saint Petersburg. Lived on the boat for 7 years of sailing, minimum with a crew of 6. Medusa is a very strong and well build boat, in very good condition, and I am only selling because of age. Medusa is ready to go anywhere. |
