Layout & Accommodations:
Port hull has a hanging locker at the bow and opens to a king-sized berth,
followed by galley at mid-ships, and a 4.3 cubic foot NovaKool refrigerator (new
2003) in the rear. Starboard has a hanging locker at the bow and opens to the
other side of the king-sized berth, navigation station with bunk underneath with
a large storage compartment under the berth, and head with pressurized water and
hand-held shower in the rear. The salon is in the center with a table and
sitting headroom for 6 adults. New fluorescent light over salon table and two
new fluorescent lights in the galley.
The headliner needs to be replaced.
Electronics & Navigation:
VHF radio with new wiring and antenna, depth sounder/fish finder, original
compass in good working order, Autohelm autopilot.
Mechanical& Electrical:
1998 Yamaha 40 hp outboard with less than 200 hours, runs perfect. 4 - 6 volt
deep cycle batteries (new 2004) hooked up as two 12 volt batteries, with new
cables, new bilge pumps (2004), Force 10 propane stove with broiler. Two propane
tanks in back locker. 3 - 80 watt solar panels (new
2003) are mounted on a custom arch mounted on the very aft deck, aft of the
boom. These are adjustable forward, rear and side-to-side for maximum solar
capture. They provide up to 12 amps and go through a solar charge controller
(new 2003) to protect the batteries. These easily power the boat even with two
or three cloudy days. The NovaCool 4.3 cubic foot refrigerator will make 4 trays
of ice cubes overnight. For backup there is a 1 KW Honda generator. 30 gallons
of water in two aluminum tanks in each hull, and 4 - 6 gallon plastic tanks. 4 -
6 gallon plastic fuel tanks.
Deck & Hulls:
Deck and hulls are in good condition, no blisters on the original gelcoat, which
is in consistent color and quality. Several nicks and scratches from being 21
years old, but there is no sign of stress fracturing, delamination, or water
intrusion into the substrate. Deck is solid to walk and work on, and non-skid is
still defined well. Almost all deck fittings, including stanchions, were
removed, cleaned and reapplied with 5200. Two new 24-hour solar-powered fans
toward rear of both port and starboard provide good ventilation. New helm seat
(2003) and footrest, New lifelines (2003).
Sails & Rigging:
Main and roller furling jib. Both are in good condition, with no stitching
coming loose. Neither one has been re-stitched.
Other:
Ttwo older anchors, each with own rode. New propane
Bar-b-que (2004). Boat is Coast Guard documented.
Avon 11' "roll-up" dingy with 5 hp Mercury outboard (both about 1999 vintage).
