They sailed to South America via St. Helena, a highlight being a cruise up the Amazon. After sailing through the Caribbean chain of islands they stopped at St. Maarten, where they took a work break. From there, it was on to Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, before arriving in Florida. They have come to know and admire catamarans, and with all the space, comforts and stability that they offer, plans are afoot to acquire one for themselves. It is interesting to note that both Carol and Greg have entered the yacht-brokerage profession with a company dealing in catamarans only. Greg is very knowledgeable in the electrical, electronic and mechanical fields. He was a BMW technician, holding the position of Group Service Manager for 12 years. He has owned his own boat service business, and is well-versed in all aspects of boat repair and maintenance. In St. Maarten, Greg again worked for himself, and was a sub-contractor to SunSail, re-wiring their boats and troubleshooting any problems that occurred. |
