Vessel Description
Lagoon offers a catamaran that incorporates generous living accommodations, great visibility, optimal performance and the ability to truly single-hand the yacht. Unique hull and bridge-deck designs combine to provide excellent offshore sailing, performance and comfort. Vertical salon windows will give you the advantages of maximum headroom and interior volume without reducing room on deck. These panoramic windows inhibit infrared heat transmission keeping the salon area cooler and providing good ventilation, unmatched visibility and airiness. Unique design of integrated fly-bridge and hard top bimini combine to provide helmsman with a centralized steering station. Equipped with a fully retractable bimini for weather protection and all sail control lines are within easy reach to facilitate short-handed sailing. Seating for eight at fly-bridge permits you to easily share the sailing experience with family and friends. The Lagoon 500 is not only a thoroughly modern cruising catamaran, but a good value as well, particularly when you consider the extensive list of gear.

COCKPIT
Featuring wonderful visibility, protected by a folding bimini, and comfortably seating six sailors, the Flybridge is the operational center of this vessel. This design thus frees up the cockpit for relaxing or dining al fresco. The cockpit table seating 8/10 stores away in a dedicated overhead locker to open up the cockpit for entertaining or as a water sports staging area. A wetbar is standard with a cockpit fridge (icemaker optional), there is also space for an electric grill here. The entire cockpit may easily be enclosed with mosquito netting, vinyl windows, or both for further protection and increased livability. This aft cockpit is a very protected shady and inviting area, if one wishes for sun and excitement, occasional splashes of spray and a real feeling of speed - Lagoon has the answer, the forward cockpit! Safe and comfortable seating, unobstructed breeze, and no sounds other than the wind and water, this area is a hit underway, or for that relaxing sundowner at anchor. Actually the anchor windlass is concealed here in one of the five lockers for safe and easy access, as well as generous storage for all deck cushions, and such large items as perhaps bicycles or a dive compressor, and certainly secondary ground tackle. Note that the genset is centrally located here, under the mast for balance and easy access.

Plug and play system
Plug and Play is a new concept of electrical distribution and protection by separate and localized distribution boxes (6 or 7 per boat). Inspired by the automobile industry, Lagoon will be using the latest and most modern system available for electrical connections and protection. Each individual connection box protects the electrical circuit with miniaturized thermal circuit breakers.
These independent electrical distribution boxes are equipped with printed circuit boards that allow the connection of electrical circuits with remote switch controls. The entire 12V system is managed from the general DC panel with 3 main switches. All 220V or 110V functions are managed following the same principles from the AC panel.
The electrical panel will be located on the roof bulkhead on the rear side of the salon. It will be equipped with a sliding plexiglass door and timed lighting.
On the main breaker panel, you will also find the AC/DC selector, windlass breaker, electric winches breakers (if option selected). Another optional breaker panel will be available for additional optional winches. The start and selection of engine breakers will only be through the engine panel and there will be 1 anti-theft engine breaker on the panel.
