All interior fixtures and fittings are high quality manufactured from high-grade corrosion resistant materials

All Broadblue catamarans are rated to the highest level of the European Recreational Craft Directive: Category A (Ocean) and are built using Lloyds approved materials.

Both one-piece hull and deck moldings are hand laid grassfiber, using powder – bound mat, biaxial woven rovings, isopthalic resin, and Kevlar reinforcement in high load areas.

Below the waterline, the hulls are solid laminate, while the topsides and deck incorporate an end grain balsa core.  The deck has an integrally molded non – slip finish.  The hull and deck join is fully bonded and protected by a substantial rubbing strake.  Many of the structural bulkheads are of vacuum bagged foam core, and when the interior furniture is fully bonded, in a light and stiff ‘honeycomb’ structure is created.

Rudders are skeg hung on S/S stocks with self – lubricating bearings.  The rudders are linked together by wire with the hydraulic ram attached directly to the starboard rudder.  The port rudder has an access hatch above and is designed to accept an emergency tiller.

The Broadblue 42 is virtually unsinkable due to its watertight bulkheads and buoyancy compartments fore and aft.  The keels are integrally molded and sealed off from the hulls forming a double bottom.

With distinctive deep blue hulls and sexy streamlined styling, the brand new Broadblue 42 is a world class, fast cruising catamaran, and has received a storm of praise for its breathtaking design and brilliantly innovative interior.
